Ten members from Hong De Lion Dance travelled up to Sydney last weekend to participate in our second Lionfest event in Market City. We were delighted to participate in this huge event which had a total of 8 lion dance and 6 martial arts teams performing from 11am until 5:30pm. It was great that we got to perform in front of our peers and also we got a chance to watch them perform. The highlights of the day were the jong performances by Chinese Youth League and Jin Wu Koon, lion dance performance by the Junior CYL group, dragon dance performance by Australian Yau Kung Mun and two smashing performances by the Hapkido College of Australia and Australian Martial Arts and Fitness Academy. Thank you to the president of CYL, Patricia Quah and Lionfest organiser, Simon Wong for inviting us to participate again this year. We are already starting to plan for next year's performance!!
