All the DTF's before the start of the paradeOn Labour Day, Hong De Lions joined forces with lions from Hung Gar Yau Shu Martial Arts and the Chinese Youth Society under the banner of  "The Australian Lion and Dragon Dance Federation" in the annual Moomba Day parade. Altogether, a total of 13 lions and a dragon formed part of the 'Melbourne is People' section of the parade. It was a good fun day for about 80 participants. Despite a weekend of hail and rain, Melbourne fined up on Monday morning just in time for the parade. Thousands of enthusiatic spectators lined both sides of Swanston Street from Little Bourke Street down to St Kilda Road and the event was televised live by Channel Seven.
