On Saturday 20th February, the Hong De Lion was performing shop blessings in May Road and Station Street, Lalor. We lit several strings of firecrackers that day, much to the amusement of locals shopping in the area. The Chinese New Year celebration was organised by the Whittlesea Chinese Association in conjunction with the Lalor Library. Our lion also performed at the Library and at the May Road Senior Citizens Centre as part of cultural entertainment organised by the WCA.
